World Mental Health Day 2025

Today we’re shining a light on a topic that’s incredibly close to our hearts — mental health in the veterinary profession.
Working in this industry is truly a rollercoaster of emotions — one moment we’re welcoming a litter of gorgeous puppies into the world, and the next we may be supporting an owner through a heartbreaking goodbye.
These highs and lows can take a toll, and sadly, veterinary professionals are statistically at a higher risk of mental health struggles and suicide than most other professions. ![]()
That’s why we’re proud to support Vetlife, a charity offering free, confidential, 24/7 support to anyone in the veterinary community who needs it. Through donations and awareness, we hope to help ensure that no one in our profession ever feels alone. ![]()
At Mulberry House Vets, we take mental wellbeing seriously. We care for our patients, but we also care deeply for our team — with:
Yoga sessions to unwind and reset
Daily morning meetings to check in, plan the day, and support each other
We protect our teams lunch breaks so they can unwind and relax, with fully kitted kitchens at both practices, weekly fruit deliveries, coffee machines and the odd biscuit or two! ![]()
Regular social events like painting evenings, team dinners, baby showers, and Christmas parties — because connection and laughter really do matter.
Today, and every day, we want to remind our team, our clients, and our colleagues:
It’s okay to not be okay.
Help is always available.
