Work Experience/EMS Placements

Who can see our practice?

Please be aware that due to demand, our dates do get booked up very quickly, but we will do our best to accommodate.

We are able to support 1 – 2 weeks for vet student placements and two days for work experience/college/school students.

I need an EMS placement, when can I come?

We fill up over a year in advance, so we suggest getting your request in sooner rather than later. Please email; lucy@mulberryhousevets.co.uk specifying your preferred dates.

We ask that if you are no longer able to attend that you give as much notice as possible, so another student is able to take the opportunity to see practice with us.

What to expect & bring

You’ll have the opportunity to shadow the clinical teams in all aspects of the day to day running of our practice.

There are opportunities to see consults, scans (US/Xray), surgeries ranging from endoscopy to orthopaedics to enucleation, dental procedures and so much more.

Both VS & RVN’s will happily teach, discuss, challenge and question you so you get the most out of your time with us.

Please wear flat black soled indoor shoes, we will provide you with scrubs to wear during the course of your placement. We have a lovely staff room with a fridge, microwave and tea/coffee facilities and always an abundance of biscuits, there is also a Co-op 5 minutes walk away.

To ensure you get the most out of your placement we expect all students to keep their mobile phones in their bags until break times, and feel free to bring a note book to write any notes or questions you’d like to ask!

We don’t have onsite parking, but we will assist you on where you can park locally (5 minutes walk away)
