Having been a vet for 18 years … I forget the number of times I’ve heard the phrase, a vet, wow! That’s an amazing job! It’s a job where every day is different, where I get to talk to people, learn about them, their pets and the incredible bonds between them. I get to use my scientific side, diagnosing, investigating and treating pets, developing not only myself, but the care and knowledge I get to share. I get to help and support as part of a team, not only helping clients and their pets, but the team I work with, day in day out. It’s a job where I’ve cried with sadness, happiness, and hysterical laughter, believe me, there are some moments you wouldn’t want to be repeated! So in all honestly, I’d agree! Being a vet is an amazing job, (probably more than a job) and one which I feel lucky to be able to do! I really look forward to meeting you and your pets and getting to know you and them.
I love being a vet. Sure, there are tough days and sad days, but ultimately caring for furry creatures and their families is who I am and what I do. Whether it be meeting puppies and kittens with their excited families for the first time or working together with a caring owner to diagnose a tricky medical condition in their beloved pet, I genuinely enjoy all parts of this wonderful and varied career.
I am incredibly proud to be a founding Director and owner of Mulberry House Vets. To be able to provide the excellent veterinary care and client service that I am passionate about and to be part of such a fantastic and fun team of vets, nurses and support staff is something I’ve always wanted to do.
It’s hard to define one simple thing that I like about being a vet, but whilst the pets provide a lot of enjoyment, to me it’s a lot about helping people. Helping people look after their pets, keep their pets healthy and sharing the experiences of pet ownership with them. Some bits can be tough but it’s also satisfying to make the harder times a bit easier for owners. Being part of Mulberry House is the culmination of a long-time ambition – to be involved in defining how we think vet care can and should be provided whilst working alongside people who share the same high standards and approach to work.
My career in the veterinary world started over 20 years ago as a student nurse. I spent eight years gaining experience through qualifying and then onto leading the team as Head Nurse of a large veterinary hospital.
My career path next took me into the pharmaceutical industry as a regional sales manager and then onto the the job I love, combining the skills I’ve learned in all these roles as a Veterinary Practice Manager.
I genuinely think the way to be happy is to do something you really enjoy; day in, day out. It may sound cliche, but setting up and running Mulberry House Vets has been a long held dream of mine, to be able to do this with a like-minded, fun and experienced team of my vet friends just makes it perfect!
My key focus is to ensure the smooth day to day running of the practice: you and your pets should receive the best level of service at all times. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important they are to you, and really want to offer the best care we can!
The vets will tell you that my organisational skills keeps them all in check too!
My door is always open if there is ever anything you would like to discuss or that I can help you with, or please drop me a line to sharon@mulberryhousevets.
I can’t remember a time when I didn’t want to be a vet, and I know that I’m very lucky to be able to do a job that I love. Every day is different, and I love getting to know people and their much-loved pets. Spending all day with animals was always what I wanted to do, but I also enjoy working together with people to do the very best for them and their pet. I have a particular soft spot for the older pets, especially older cats. It is wonderful to be working at Mulberry House with such a passionate and knowledgeable team.
Being a vet is such a rewarding job and every day I feel very lucky to be part of the profession. I enjoy all aspects of being a Vet, but I have a particular interest in emergency and critical care. I enjoy forming trusted relationships with clients and being there for you when you need us most. I live nearby with my partner James and our little rescue cat called Penny. I spend a lot of my spare time in the gym, but I also love getting involved with charity work and singing in a local choir. I look forward to meeting you and your pets.
I have been a veterinary nurse for 18 years working for a number of large veterinary hospitals. Mulberry House Vets is a big change for me, I will at last have the chance to get to know my clients and their pets personally. I have very high standards and will treat your fur baby as if he or she is my own, giving love, snuggles and the highest standards of veterinary care.
My dog Jack will be popping in from time to time. Jack came in to my life when he was 3 days old, I looked after him as a tiny orphan pup. Over the past twelve years we have had many adventures together; camping, climbing mountains, pub meals, kayaking and paddle boarding. He is my beautiful little shadow.
In my spare time I run a small business called Vet Nurse Pet Care. We are a pet sitting service using only qualified veterinary nurses. I go to my client’s houses once or twice per day while they are on holiday to spend time snuggling, feeding pets and cleaning litter trays.
I started my veterinary nursing career 4 years ago after finishing an Anthropology degree at Southampton university. It was a big change of career for me but I haven’t regretted one part! From Animal Nursing Assistant to Registered Veterinary Nurse, I have loved every minute!
I joined the Mulberry family in December 2019 after doing my nurse training locally and have loved getting to know all of the lovely clients we have. You may see me in nurse clinics throughout the day, on reception, or admitting and discharging your fur babies. My favourite part of the job is following your pet’s journey through our doors; from meeting you and your pet in the morning, assisting with their treatment, and then reuniting with you in the afternoon.
Outside of work I love exploring the UK and going on city breaks with my other half. We also have a little rescue cat called Findis who takes up a lot of time with her cheeky character!
For as long as I can remember, I dreamt of being part of the veterinary profession. After graduating from The Royal Veterinary College in 2016, with a degree in Veterinary Nursing, that dream finally came true!
Following university, I worked in a busy small animal hospital for five years, gaining a variety of experiences.
I love being a Veterinary Nurse, the nature of the role means that no two days are the same, and there’s always the opportunity to learn something new. It is an incredibly rewarding job, and I cannot imagine myself doing anything else!
In my spare time I enjoy riding my horse, Billy, often hacking him out in Windsor Great Park. I also have three fox red labradors, Flynn, Louie and Rojo, whom I enjoy taking for walks with friends, which often end with a visit to the pub!’
Ever since I was old enough to think about what I wanted to do when I grew up I knew it was working with animals.
After leaving school I studied for 3 years at the Berkshire College of Agriculture where I completed my National Diploma in Animal Care. In 1998 I began my Veterinary Nurse training and have worked in many veterinary settings over the years including smaller clinics, emergency centres and larger hospitals.
Before joining the fabulous Mulberry team in November 2021, I had spent many years as a Clinical Nurse Manager, meaning that some days I was so busy with the admin side of the job that I would not see an animal all day!
I could not be happier to be back doing what I trained to do. I love that no day is ever the same. You never know what situation may present itself next and I get so much satisfaction knowing that I have helped with the patient’s recovery and rehabilitation. It really is so rewarding.
I just love animals. They all have such amazing, individual personalities.
Outside of work I live with my husband and 2 children, our beautiful Labrador Poppy and our very mischievous rescue cat Ernie.
I was always the girl at school that was animal obsessed, so I always knew my career would be centred around animals and what better to do than care for them and help make them better.
After being a veterinary receptionist for 4 years, I decided that it was time for me to further my career and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2021. I love being a veterinary nurse as everyday is different, bringing new challenges and experiences. I am so delighted to be part of the Mulberry House Vets team and am eager to meet, cuddle and help look after your furry family members.
Outside of work I enjoy socialising with friends, cooking and being outdoors, particularly walking my two dogs Bentley and Bosci. I also have two Burmese cats, Jacob and Rossi.
This is my first role working in a veterinary practice, previously I have worked as a horse groom, dog walker and shop assistant.
My job at Mulberry House includes in-patient care and cleaning surgical kits as well as preparing the theatres for use. I make sure the in-patients are comfortable, take them out for toilet walks and keep their water and food topped up as needed as well as giving plenty of cuddles!!
At home I am Mum to my dogs Milo and Nala, I also have a beautiful cob pony called Maggie.
I have been working in the veterinary profession since 1997 in a variety of roles, from receptionist to heading up a large front of house team in another local veterinary practice.
I joined team Mulberry in April 2019 after stalking Sharon for months 🙂 I haven’t looked back since! At home I’m a crazy animal lover with a mini zoo of 9 dogs and 2 cats!
I look forward to making new friends, furry and non-furry at Mulberry House Vets.
I have always had customer facing roles, and have been a veterinary receptionist for the last 13 years as I’m passionate about animals. I joined Mulberry House in March and love the Mulberry family ethos.
My favourite part about my job is meeting all of the animals, although I do have a soft spot for the puppies!
Outside of work I enjoy agility and long walks with my Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Boo, our favourite place to walk is Bramshill Forest
I joined the Mulberry House team in 2020 as a part time Receptionist having known Sharon and the vet team in their previous careers.
I have really enjoyed learning everything about the day to day runnings of a veterinary practice! It’s non stop here, no day is the same and having lived and worked locally all my life it’s great to see and speak to so many familiar faces.
Life at home with my husband and son is equally as busy, and in my spare time you’ll find me on my Paddleboard, or with my head in a good book! I’m also a very proud cat mum to Stimpy who is nearly 20! I am definitely a bit of a crazy cat lady! 🐾
I previously worked as a receptionist at a doctors surgery for 5 years and prior to that I was a playgroup teacher for 8 years.
I have a busy home life with a husband, 3 adult children, 2 English bulldogs called Doris and Reggie and a lovely little cat called Mala.
I feel so lucky to work at Mulberry and the absolute best part of every shift is meting all the lovely pets.
I joined the mulberry team in December 2022, after working in a customer facing role for 5 years in Waitrose.
