Patient Story – Smudge

Smudge is a 9 year old cat who recently saw us with a nasty chronic wound. The wound was treated with courses of antibiotics and regular bandage changes with our nurse team but unfortunately due to the non healing nature of this wound the only viable option left was to amputate her limb. Smudge has been an amazingly tolerant patient, and has won over everyone at the practice with her chatty ways and never ending patience.

She has recovered really well from her surgery, and is back to her favourite pastimes of rolling about in a sunny garden and getting lots of cuddles, and she is adapting well to life on three legs!
