We offer a wide range of minimally invasive laparoscopic (keyhole) procedures including neutering and organ biopsies.
Very small incisions are required and we use specialist cameras and operating instruments to perform the surgery.
The advantages of keyhole over traditional open surgery include:
Keyhole spays are our most commonly performed laparoscopic procedure. Our dedicated keyhole spay page has more information.
Surgery to remove a crytporchid or retained testicle can also be performed by keyhole surgery. Watch a cryptorchid castration video here.
If a pet has suspected disease of the liver or spleen or a tumour, we can take full biopsies of these organs to help diagnose an illness and decide on the best treatment plan. Keyhole surgery is hugely beneficial in keeping surgery and anaesthetic time much reduced in patients who are unwell.
